RE: which side to mount house connection for quickie flush???

This may sound like a dumb question to those of you that have actually been to a dump station, but what side should I mount the hose connection on for my new quickie flush?
As long as we're asking dumb questions, here's another one: what's a "quickie flush?"

RE: Radio Mod

Our JAG 25JQ has an "okay" sounding system (nothing spectacular) but the real negative part is that it doesn't have a digital tuner. We set the radio and before long temperature changes cause it to wander off frequency. I hate that. Your mod may be just the ticket. Thanks!

You've gotten a ton of responses but I might as well chime in:
a) Year of F150: 2001
b) Motor: 5.4 Triton
c) Gearing: ??
d) 4WD or 2WD: 4WD
1) Trailer: 2006 JAG 25JQ
2) Length: 25 feet

Never realized there were so many F150 owners on this board!!

RE: Camping with Newborn

Took our third child (now 13) camping for 5 straight days on the Oregon coast. She wasn't even sleeping through the night yet when we left, but as soon as we got to the campground she started sleeping completely through the night. I think she loved the fresh air and all the bustle of camping.
We brought along a baby swing and she loved it!! Made it easy for all of us to get things done.

First jaunt of the Spring

Well, we took our first outing of the season recently. Some friends who purchased a new Keystone 26 footer wanted to try it out close to home before taking it out camping, so we got our JAG out of mothballs and went together to an RV park near Boise, Idaho.
It was great staying in the trailer again, and the RV park where we stayed was nicely equipped with lots of nice features, such as cable TV, wireless Internet and an indoor pool.
Only issue was our 10 year old spiked a fever about halfway into our time together, followed the next day by my 13 year old daughter. Oh well. They're all better now and we all seem to be healthy. Been a tough flu season for everyone! Can't wait for warm temps to kill off all the flu bugs! :)

RE: Stick Figure Family Stickers

The sad fact is, your loaded weapon notwithstanding, stickers on vehicles with children's names ARE used by sex offenders. One former sex offender who did 7 years for his crimes once came in my office (I pastor a church in Oregon) and told me to warn parents who plastered their children's names on the back of their vehicles that that kind of thing is what sex offenders are looking for.
No one here is advocating paranoia! This is simply the world you and I live in and we do NO ONE any favors by burying our heads in the sand or talking about how our loaded weapons are going to keep our family members safe.
Bottom, line: go ahead and put the cute little family stickers on your vehicle. Just leave the names off. 'Nuff said.

RE: We did it

Beautiful trailer. It appears you have a Toyota Tundra as your TV? How do you like it, and how does it tow the Jayco? Any complaints? What engine size do you have?

Hey Robbie, I'm wondering why you don't haul bikes in the bed of your pickup.

RE: (2) 12V vs. (2) 6V batteries

I went with my friend to pick up his 2008 Keystone just last Saturday, and the tech who did his orientation told him in no uncertain terms that 2 deep-cycle 6 volt batteries are better than one 12 volt battery in terms of reliability and long-lasting power.

RE: What would YOU do-- advice wanted

You've gotten great advice so far, so I will just reaffirm the general consensus: You can't live life based on what MIGHT happen. A thorough tune up and check up on the TV should be done, and then GO. And have a great time.
As my wife and I like to say: If we have problems, we'll fall off that bridge when we get to it. :)
